"Richard and I grew up only 10 minutes apart without knowing each other! We even went to the same
kindergarten.
We met 16 years ago, waiting tables at an Italian-American restaurant while attending college. We became
friends right away; our friendship has lasted for many years. We’ve always had a special bond, but we ended
up dating other people.
Life is a windy road: we’ve both gone through many changes and challenges, yet we’ve always supported each other. There were times when Richard wanted more, but I wasn't ready, and times when I was the one imagining something different for us, but he was the one who wasn't available. So we just remained friends until the spring of 2020, when our romantic relationship finally began. We lived apart at first: I was in California and he was in Washington.
For the first six months we spent many hours in the car, until I moved to Washington for good. Last year we bought our first house, and now it’s time to make it official! And for this we have chosen the beautiful land of Sicily and the Commenda.
We wanted to share some relaxing time with our loved ones and close friends. It is so nice to receive so much love and support. Each person present has a special place in our hearts, and we’re really grateful to be able to celebrate in such an idyllic place. It’s absolutely a dream come true!”
