Sheila and Michele: a love that has crossed continents, from the hustle and bustle of New York to the quiet beauty of Sicily. Their wedding was a true hymn to the roots, the bright sun, the fragrant lemons and the ancient traditions of this wonderful land: they were moments of timeless emotion set in the beautiful Acireale. This wedding was a tribute to Sicily, a land that has special meaning for Michele, but also for Domenico Dolce (Dolce & Gabbana), who Michele works for in New York. Sicily was both the origin and the inspiration for this extraordinary event that was celebrated with love and dedication. Michele wore the special wedding gift that Domenico had saved for him to celebrate this event. The beautiful Sheila enchanted everyone with her sweetness and measured elegance. The ceremony’s setting was the beautiful Basilica di San Sebastiano in Acireale, a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque. And where else could they celebrate their wedding, this tribute to Sicily, if not at Casa del Grecale, a place where Sicilian flavors and traditions have always delighted guests. A celebration of love, culture and roots: and we were honored to witness such an extraordinary beginning.
